Cameran Crutcher

Hi, I’m Cameran, a proud Memphis native from Bethel Grove, and I live by the motto, “Lights, Cameran, Action.” For me, life is all about telling stories—through film, fashion, and everything in between.

Growing up, my home was filled with creativity. My parents would decorate, DJ, and cater epic birthday parties, turning our house into a space where anything was possible. These moments sparked my belief that creativity has no boundaries. From an early age, I developed a passion for film, cosmetology, and theater, influenced by my mom, a theater enthusiast and cosmetologist. I was constantly experimenting with hair and makeup, exploring new ways to express myself.

Though I faced challenges, like bullying, during my school years, writing became my refuge and a way to navigate my emotions. It was a way to rewrite my story or even make new ones on my own. It helped me rediscover my voice and my passion for storytelling into ways I could produce visuals through stories. This led me to create Moonieken, my fashion brand, where I design custom pieces that help people feel seen and celebrated. I always thought I had a good eye for clothes, but I was too broke to afford them.

Now, as a student at the University of Memphis pursuing Broadcast Journalism, with minors in Fashion Design and Film, I’m working to combine my love for storytelling, writing, fashion, and film. My goal is to build a creative empire that inspires others and proves that, with persistence, passion, and creativity, anything is possible.
